Electrical Installation & Maintenance
OUR TEAM HAS OVER 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND HAVE WORKED ON A WIDE VARIETY OF PROJECTS FROM RETAIL STORES THROUGH TO COMPLEX AUTOMATION AND CONTROL SYSTEMS
In the modern world, electricity is used virtually everywhere. Whether it is in the offices, factories, homes or farms, there is the need to ensure that electric systems are working optimally. Of course, where you have a new building, you will have to start with electrical installation. To ensure that your systems remain in good working condition, electrical maintenance is a must. As a customer, you need to hire a contractor who is not only trained but who has the requisite experience.
While it is the same contractor who will handle electrical installation and maintenance, the two functions are very distinct. So that you don’t get confused about what exactly they are, we explain them to you below:
- Electrical Installation
Did you know that electrical installations can be done both to a new and older residential, commercial, and industrial buildings? If you had electrical systems installed in your premises in the past, you can have them replaced with the latest technology. It could be anything to do with lighting, lighting control, cable containment, distribution systems, distribution boards, installation of LED lighting, and making changes to the building standards and regulations.
Apart from designing the electrical system, the contractor will also do the installations. If it is an office or factory building, the ultimate aim will be to create a workplace that inspires the workers to perform at their best. In the home, the focus will be to make the environment liveble. But not just that. Every electric system should be designed in such a way that it preserves energy and this is what the electrician will work towards.
- Electrical Maintenance
Soon after your electrical systems have been installed, there will be a need to ensure that they remain in good working conditions. That is where electrical maintenance comes in. the contractor should be able to maintain electrical systems in the home, office or industrial complex. Just like installation, this must be done in accordance with the prevailing building standards and regulations. It doesn’t matter if you are installing a simple wall socket or wiring the entire building afresh.
How Will You Know That The Work Is Done?
When the contractor finishes the electrical installations and repair work, he or she will give you either a minor works certificate or a completion certificate. In this document, they will provide details of how much work was carried out, the circuits on which they worked, and the results of the tests carried out on the affected circuits. You should keep this certificate safely since it will come in handy in future when there is a need for additional repairs.
Don’t just hire any contractor to work for you. First, he or she should be trained and experienced in doing electrical installation and maintenance. Second, they should be able to adhere to the highest standards of competence and safety. Ability to comply with the existing building standards and regulations is also key. You don’t want to work with someone who will only compound the problems with your electrical system.
